Getting Social with #fireworkpeople

Today we're kicking off a new series called Getting Social! GS will feature our favorite social babes who pave their own paths in life and are quite frankly — just plain awesome! These daring dolls and girlbosses inspire us to continue to do what we love, dream big, and have a blast along the way!

Who better to kick off GS then the head visionary, ultimate supporter, and seriously social chic, Ashley Beaudin from #fireworkpeople? We sat down (virtually of course) and chatted about her community, passions, and inspirations....

In a few sentences, can you tell us what is #fireworkpeople?

Yes! #fireworkpeople is a community for women who want to change the world. We believe that every woman has been given a unique fire that is all their own and when they bring that, it has the capacity to release massive impact. We are all about radical encouragement, loving big and doing more together than we do apart. We are excited about seeing women become dangerously alive in who they are and impacting the world together. It is a blast.

When you first started out, what were your goals for #fireworkpeople?

When #fireworkpeople first started, I really just had a passion to see women encouraged and I was honestly really casual about it. I knew that I wanted to really just be around my people; those who had a passion to change the world. And as I started to specifically reach out to those women and create community there, it exploded and I realized I had hit a massive need.

How did you go about picking a hashtag? Why #FIREWORKPEOPLE?

The phrase "firework people" had been a term that had been sitting in my heart for months. To me, firework people were those who couldn't be tamed, who had fire burning in their hearts, who were breaking the rules to hustle after their dreams. And so when I knew I wanted to start this movement, I knew this is what we had to call ourselves. Firework People.

#fireworkpeople can't be tamed. They break rules and hustle after their dreams. (Tweet this!)

We follow your interactions online and you’re always SO supportive of others. What motivates you to want to inspire others?

For me, it truly comes out of believing in people. I have been practicing something for years called, "finding the gold in people." It is where I just talk about the goodness that I see in people and tell them about it! Doing that over a long period of time has given me the perspective that every single person is powerful and needed. And I am passionate about people knowing that deep inside. And if I have to keep on saying it, I will.

How do you get the word out about #FIREWORKPEOPLE?

The word has majorly spread through word of mouth. It is also through Twitter Parties, social media and blog tours that we've gotten the word out. The key is when people feel like they are a part of something, they'll talk about it. And that's what we want. We want people to feel a part of something bigger than themselves.

"When people feel like they are a part of something, they'll talk about it." (Tweet this!)

What's your favorite social media network and why?

Definitely Twitter. I have been a massive fan of Twitter Parties before they even got popular. I think it is a powerful place for networking and for encouraging.

If you could give other entrepreneurs one tip of advice, what would it be?

"Be yourself. Be audaciously and radically yourself." (Tweet this!)

Fight against everything that would try and get you to look or sound a certain way. Because your genius, your power is found when you are radically yourself. We need you to be exactly that. And it will set you apart. It will.

What exciting things does #fireworkpeople have in store for us in 2015?

What a loaded question! One of the biggest things we have going on in 2015 is our masterclass running from January to May. There will be more things coming out geared to helping women become dangerously alive, equipping entrepreneurs and bloggers to create contagious vision and more opportunity for collaboration and impact. Let's change the world together. For real.
